He was a Primary school principal and a former Councillor under the Bantu Affairs Administration Board. UDF members convinced him to resign as a Councillor and join their activities.
Former Bishop of the Anglican Church in Southern Africa in Cape Town. A devoted member of the PAC, he participated in the anti-Pass campaign in Cape Town in March 1960.
Was involved in Rugby and non-racial sports in SACOS.
Close family friend to the Sobukwe family and a trained nurse and worked together with Veronica Sobukwe.
Former Principal of Spandau High School and a member of National Educationist Union of South Africa (NEUSA). He was also active in Rugby and non-racial sports.

The scrapbook was compiled by Robert Sobukwe whilst held on Robben Island. The cover page is signed by Robert Sobukwe, together with the text 'SOUTH AFRICA - LOCAL'.
It includes news paper cuttings relating to details of Sobukwe's conditions of imprisonment on Robben Island, with reference to a parliamentary debate on the 'No Trial' Bill (later called Sobukwe Bill), as announced by B.J.
