Johannesburg Art Gallery publication on Thami Mnyele and Medu Art Ensemble Retrospective exhibition The programme is about numerous work that Thami did while being part of Medu.

It covers topics about Thami Mnyele's biography, various Units of Medu which includes the relevance and commitment of Medu that provided training workshops in a range of arts skills including creative writing, theatre, music, photography, film and graphic art. Medu had The Graphics Unit which was responsible for producing Medu newsletters and posters with political messages. in addition, the Publication and Research Unit as a centre of Medu to contact with South African arts groups.

A tribute to Thami Mnyele was compiled by Department of Sport, Recreation,Arts and Culture. The booklet covers his lifetime and work that he was involved in.

The exhibition is advertised as being comprehensive, dynamic and historic for people. The exhibition aimed at having open discussion with the artists about the direction of South African culture.
