Afrapix was a collective agency of amateur and professional photographers who documented Apartheid South Africa through their photographs in the 1980s. At its height there were 20 members, and up to 60 "stringers" which had an affiliation and would do projects for Afrapix.

At a funeral of seven ANC members Killed in a shoot-out with police on 3 March 1986. Women with placards bearing the face of ANC leader Nelson Mandela and slogans like "the people Shall Govern", walk among the crowds. The seven men included Mandla Simon Mxinwa, Zanisile Zenith Mjobo, Zola Alfred Swelani, Godfrey Jabulani Miya, Christopher Piet, Themba Mlifi and Zabonke John Konile.
